Novacula

Tribe that Aranea of the Moon belonged to most of her life on the Island of Chult in Faerun. Worshipers of Ubtao the Novacula live deep in jungle caverns and rarely interact with the surface world. They cast spells on any who find them to make sure they leave the caves and forget how they arrived. It's even rarer for them to interact with any other humanoids than the Tabaxi found in the jungles of Chult.

Known as people of nature many of them have become druids and shapeshifters to become as powerful as the fearsome dinosaurs who roam their jungles and caves. Strict adherence to laws and tradition ensure a well disciplined population, as even minor infarctions such as theft can lead to a death sentence.
