Princess Kenny Backstory

Princess Kenny hasn’t always been a princess, but she’s known this is the life she is destined to live. And she made it so all on her own.

Born Kenny jr., a boy living very well off in a castle with both his parents. Kenny has very fond memories of his mother who was loving and caring. His father, King Kenny Sr. ruled the kingdom and took his work seriously but loved his family fiercely. They lived the perfect life when tragedy hit.

Kenny’s mom died when Kenny jr. was 8 (in human years. No idea what this would be in elf years). Kenny’s mom passed of a mystery illness that took over in just a few quick months. One day she was running around the castle grounds with Kenny Jr. and the next sick in bed until she took her last breath.

It wasn’t long after when the news of the queens passing that the kingdom was attacked and eventually overtaken. King Kenny, shattered by his wife’s passing was distracted and never saw it coming. He lost everything. His wife, his kingdom, even his son. His son was still physically with him but he didn’t bond with him like the mother did. Didn’t know him very well and was confused when he saw Kenny Jr. play and act as a girl. But at this point none of that mattered. They had nothing and needed to survive. King Kenny took every expensive wear he could put his hands on before fleeing the castle. As they moved through different territories he sold to the highest bidder. They at least had a good amount of gold to live off of until they could figure out what’s next.

Far outside the kingdom he once ruled, King Kenny Sr. (now just Kenny Sr.) built a quaint cottage in the woods. Far from others so he could properly mourn the life he once lived. That’s when young Kenny Jr. showed him there was more life to live.

Kenny Jr. thrived in the woods. Crafting furniture, gathering food and learning everything the forest was willing to teach him. To teach HER. Kenny Jr. always knew he was different from other boys. Why did he have to be a boy? Could he be a girl? He sometimes felt like it. Could he be both? It wasn’t long after, one day in a field of flowers that a rainbow appeared overhead that Kenny realized he could be whoever he wanted to be. In the forest it doesn’t matter if you’re male or female so why should it matter anywhere else? Just be comfortable with yourself and focus on your craft and skills. That’s when Kenny discovered his magic calling. It wasn’t until he fully accepted herself that the magic within appeared for their use. From that point on it was like the rainbow that appeared before Kenny followed wherever Kenny went. Like, literally, anytime Kenny walks anywhere a magical rainbow trail follows 🌈✨

Kenny went to their father to explain the realization she came up with and the new magic that they discovered. Kenny and Kenny Sr. for the first time had a real conversation with one another where they felt they knew each other. Kenny explained to their father how she felt as both a she and nothing at all. Kenny came up with the concept of shared pronouns she/they which accurately represented her. That’s when King Kenny realized he was. A. King.

That’s his rightful place. King. That’s who he is. And that’s when King Kenny declared he would be king once more. He was a great king. He was just attacked at the right time to fall from the throne. But he knew he could get back to royalty. But how?

As the years went by in the forest, both King Kenny and his daughter Princess Kenny were ready for the next chapter of their lives. That’s when Princess Kenny had an idea.

As Princess Kenny breezed through puberty still feeling most comfortable in a dress, she haggled for used corsets, heeled boots, learned to do her hair and makeup so much so she appeared as a woman. A beautiful woman. She convinced her father to put on the finest robes he still had and move to a new country as “King Kenny looking for a suitor for his princess daughter”. It wasn’t long before beautiful Princess Kenny caught the eye of Old Man King Jagroti.

King Jagroti was senile, nearly blind (which worked in PKs advantage since she hadn’t figured out the 5 o’clock shadow thing yet) but above all, King Jagroti was rich. Filthy rich, a brat, lazy and stupid. It wasn’t long before Princess Kenny was planning a wedding at the expense of King Jagroti. They married, PK got her hands on all the wealth they once lost and set her father up as king once more. She somehow convinced King Jagroti to step down in his old age and let her father take over the kingdom so he could spend his days eating and sleeping with minimal effort in the kingdoms activities.

They were married 4 months before King Jagroti sadly passed. He stopped breathing in his sleep after feasting on a celebratory roasted pig for the birth of a new nephew. With no children of his own, Princess Kenny and her father King Kenny were now in charge of the kingdom.

King Kenny stayed at the castle to do king stuff. Meanwhile Princess Kenny was young, restless, rich and very hungry to be her ✨best self✨. She succeeded in introducing the concept of gender fluidity to her kingdom. She taught her people that although born a man, she is caring, sensitive and intelligent. And although  she mostly identifies as a woman, she’s strong willed, agile and capable of combat. Just because you are marked female or male at birth does not mean you have to stay in a box. She introduced new pronouns they/them to her people so they can decide who to be in this lifetime they’re given.

And so she found herself visiting other kingdoms, castles, domains to expand her learnings all while gaining new spell capabilities from any wizard she had the pleasure of crossing paths with. She learned early on, knowledge is power and her power came from the spells she’s learned through the years. As a young, high elf, her agility and strength still came naturally. That matched with her wit, charm and magic made her feel unstoppable. And she knew she had to teach others the power of accepting who they are no matter which “box” they were placed in at birth.

As she roams through forests from kingdom to kingdom, her father King Kenny has issued her a guardian to escort her through rough terrain and any danger that may lie ahead. A bodyguard to keep an eye on his daughter. Trogdor now tags along on her adventures. Not too closely, but always with an eye on Princess Kenny.
